REVIEW - OCC Lip Tar in Pageant

 Hullo Ladies!

I talked about my only OCC Lip Tar in my recent favourites post and I thought I'd do a review on it now that I've had it for a few months.

I won Pageant in a Giveaway and I've worn it constantly ever since. It's a great bright lip product for the Summer.

Pageant is a blue toned pink.

I love the packaging and I've heard that its been redesigned as the old packaging was quite messy apparently.

You only need a tiny amount on your lip brush. I use my Real Techniques Detail brush as I feel like it's the perfect size .

I made this swatch after I'd painted my whole lips with that tiny amount of product and it still had enough product to give a decent swatch.

When I first saw the Lip Tar I was slightly unimpressed with the size of it but now I know that you only need the tiniest amount and it would be hard to get through, I happy to have the 10ml bottle.

I love how creamy it look on the lips and how pigmented the colour is.

It doesn't bleed or enhance any dry patches.

You can see that after a few hours of wearing it leaves an even stain on the lips.

A great thing for if you're out and about and can't re-apply with the brush, you can just pop a bit of lip balm or gloss on top to give a healthy look to your lips until you find a mirror and some time to re-apply.

I have to say I'm in love with this product, although the price tag might keep me from trying out some more of the products. Not because I don't think they're worth it it's just that I'm skint :-)

I have heard that the Sleek Pout Paints are supposed dupes for them, which I may have to test out for myself at some point!

These Lip Tars are 100% Vegan and Cruelty Free - Good To Know!

The only place I know you can buy OCC Lip Tars in the UK is on the Selfridges website - HERE for £11.50

Have you tried the OCC lip tars?

  1. I have a old one but on me it bleeds a bit to my teeth. I love the colour pay off of these but usually I don't reach to much for it.

    1. I know this may sound silly but when I have lip products that do that I always pop my thumb in my mouth, close my lips around it and then pull it out so it takes all that excess product off the inside of my lips which is usually why I find the product on my teeth. Hope you find a way to solve the problem soon hun! xxx
